Application: QuikSearch

1. Overview & Privacy Philosophy

VRR Software Solutions ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. QuikSearch is designed from the ground up as a 100% offline, local-first utility engine for Windows 10 and 11.

We believe your system search queries, clipboard history, text snippets, and file directory structures should remain strictly private on your personal device. QuikSearch contains zero telemetry, zero cloud sync, and zero external analytics servers.

2. Information We Collect and Process

QuikSearch processes data exclusively on your local machine:

A. Local Clipboard History

  • What is processed: Text and image data copied to your system clipboard when QuikSearch is running.
  • Where it is stored: Stored in a local SQLite database file on your system (ring buffer capped at 100 entries).
  • Cloud access: Never transmitted over the internet or uploaded to any server.

B. Custom Snippets & Text Templates

  • What is processed: Custom text expansion triggers (e.g., !email, !zoom) and text templates created by you.
  • Where it is stored: Encrypted local storage on your device.

C. File Indexing & Application Search

  • What is processed: Windows Start Menu shortcuts and user directories (Desktop, Documents, Downloads).
  • Purpose: To provide 0ms instant launcher results when typing in the search bar.
  • Data handling: Indexing is performed completely in RAM and local storage. No directory structures or file names leave your computer.

D. Hardware & System Utilities

  • Process RAM Killer & System Controls: Queries process PIDs and system RAM usage locally using native Windows APIs (user32.dll / sysinfo) to enable process management and power controls (Lock, Sleep, Shutdown).
  • Color & Timestamp Tools: Performs local mathematical calculations (HEX/RGB/HSL/CMYK conversion and Epoch timestamps) directly on input strings.

3. Operating System Permissions

To function as a background spotlight launcher, QuikSearch requests standard Windows system privileges:

  • Global Hotkey Registration: Listens for the Alt + Space hotkey (or user-configured hotkey) to summon the spotlight window.
  • System Clipboard Access: Reads copied text/images and writes selected snippets or color values back to your clipboard.
  • Optional Windows Startup Registry: If enabled, creates a local startup entry so QuikSearch launches automatically in the background when turning on your PC.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

QuikSearch does not integrate third-party ad networks, telemetry trackers, or external SDKs. Your data is never sold, rented, shared, or transmitted to VRR Software Solutions or any third party.

5. Data Control & Deletion

You retain full control over your local data at all times:

  • Clear Clipboard History: Click "Clear All History" inside QuikSearch to permanently wipe the local SQLite ring buffer.
  • Manage Snippets: Delete individual snippets or reset snippet configuration within the application UI.
  • Complete Data Removal: Uninstalling QuikSearch completely removes the application binary and its local storage directory from your Windows device.
