Account & Data Deletion Instructions for AutoQueue
*Effective Date: July 18, 2026*
At AutoQueue, we believe you should have complete control over your garage and personal data. This document outlines how staff members, customers, and garage owners can request or perform data deletion, and how deletions are handled within our Supabase database cluster.
---
1. Delete Instructions for Garage Clients (Customers)
If you are a customer of a garage that uses AutoQueue and wish to have your contact profiles, vehicle registrations, or service history removed:
- Contact Your Workshop: Contact the garage manager or owner directly. They can access the Customer Directory inside the desktop app, click on your profile, and select the Delete Profile button.
- Contact AutoQueue Support: If the garage is unresponsive or you need direct assistance, email us at support@autoqueue.com with your name and phone number. We will contact the garage owner to process the deletion.
---
2. Delete Instructions for Staff Members
If you are a Manager, Receptionist, or Technician and want to remove your staff account:
- Request your organization's Owner to navigate to the Settings ➔ Staff tab.
- The Owner can select your name and click Revoke Invitation / Deactivate Staff.
- This revokes your login credentials and removes your profile from the roster listings.
---
3. Delete Instructions for Garage Owners (Organisation Deletion)
If you are the Owner of a workshop and wish to delete your entire organization account, all branches, and all associated operational data:
- Log in to AutoQueue using the Owner credentials.
- Go to the Settings panel ➔ Organisation Profile.
- Click the Delete Organisation Account button.
- Confirm your identity by entering your account password.
- This action will immediately log out all active staff members and schedule your entire organization for permanent database deletion.
---
4. How Data Deletion is Handled (Our 7-Day Safety Window)
To prevent catastrophic data loss (e.g. accidentally deleting a valuable vehicle history or active invoice log), AutoQueue uses a two-step deletion protocol:
Step 1: Soft-Delete (7-Day Restoration Window)
- When a customer, vehicle, or inventory part is deleted, it is marked as "soft-deleted" by writing a timestamp into the
deleted_atdatabase column. - The record is immediately hidden from active listings, rosters, and dropdown menus.
- During the first 7 days following deletion, the organization Owner can restore the record by visiting the settings bin or contacting support.
Step 2: Permanent Purging
- After 7 consecutive days in soft-deleted status, our background database routines permanently delete the rows.
- Once permanently purged, the data cannot be recovered by support or backup restorations.
Manual Deletion Request
For custom platforms and services, please submit a manual account deletion request directly to our system administrator.
